FALL 2019 HARVEST GUIDELINES

We are still a new food forest! The 2,200 new fruit and nut trees, shrubs and seedlings were recently planted. Each fruit tree can produce 200-400 pound of fresh food, but this tree needs 3-5 years to mature. We hope to have lots of fresh food to share, however fruit is not ready to harvest now.

The neighborhood-led garden and herb team at the food forest work hard to grow food and medicine for 15 participating neighborhood families, a neighborhood senior center, volunteers. There are fresh vegetables and herbs. Please respect the harvest guidelines posted for fall 2019 to keep these plants and the Lakewood-Browns mill community healthy.
